This Privacy Policy explains how Leben in Deutschland Test Prep("LiDPrep", "we", "us") collects, uses, stores, and shares data when you use our mobile application and related services.

LiDPrep is an independent educational tool and is not affiliated with BAMF or any German government authority.

1. Data We Collect

1.1 Account Data

• Email address, full name, and Google account identifier when you sign in with Google OAuth.
• This data is used for account identification and cross-device sync.

1.2 Device Identifier

• A device-based identifier is used for abuse prevention, exam-limit enforcement, and entitlement checks.
• This identifier is not IDFA, is not sold, and is stored securely on-device. Backend services keep a hashed representation for enforcement and audit.

1.3 Study and App Data

• Question attempts, selected answers, correctness, time spent, and timestamps.
• Practice sessions, exam sessions, scores, pass/fail results, and readiness metrics.
• User-generated content such as bookmarks, tags, and notes.
• Preferences such as language, federal state, exam goal, theme, and font size.

1.4 Purchases and Entitlements

• Purchase receipt tokens and entitlement status used to unlock Premium.
• We do not collect or store credit card details.

1.5 Ads (Free Tier)

• Free users may see ads provided by Google AdMob.
• Ad requests may include metadata needed for ad delivery and fraud prevention.

• Provide and personalize study features.
• Sync progress across devices for authenticated users.
• Process and validate Premium purchases and access.
• Prevent abuse and enforce fair-use limits.
• Monitor app reliability through diagnostics and crash reporting.

3. Offline Storage and Sync

• LiDPrep is offline-first. Core study data is stored on your device.
• Authenticated users can sync profile and study data to Supabase.
• Guest-user data remains local and is not synced to our backend.
• Question images may be cached for offline study in app-specific storage.

• Authenticated account data is retained while your account is active.
• Guest data is retained on-device until uninstall or local reset.
• You may request account deletion and data removal via our Delete Account page.
• Certain purchase records may be retained where required by law.

• Network transport uses HTTPS.
• Backend infrastructure uses encryption at rest.
• Local app data is protected by platform sandboxing and device security.

7. Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. For users under 16 in regions that require parental consent, such consent is required.

8. Your Rights

• EU users may exercise GDPR rights including access, correction, and deletion.
• California users may exercise CCPA rights where applicable.
• We do not sell personal information.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy over time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date and, where required, by additional notice in the app.
